Rough Times

We had a few weeks where it seemed nothing good was happening. Between deaths ( 3 of them) hospital visits & a computer meltdown, I will be soooo glad when February is over! I guess the one good thing about this month is I finally got a hold of Michael & am trying to convince him to come down for a visit. The last time I spoke to him was Christmas. Its amazing how time can just get away from you.
I did get a few things scrapped but lost most of them when my other computer died. I am hoping a friend of mine can at least get it working enough for me to get my important files off it, especially since it is tax season. :p I do have a few on my external though.

Since I last posted things have been up & down.

The Sad:
Last Friday my husbands Uncle Bob passed away. It had been a battle for him the last week & sadly he lost his fight. He will be missed.

The Good:
I am now a Sunshine Sweetie....for those who dont know, I am now a CT member for Sunshine Studio's. YAY ME!! :) I am working on my first LO's as we speak.

I also was named on the catwalk @ Sistv for my LO

As promised, I know it is late BUT things were beyond my control with this & I only just received it this week. My son & his class as the appeared on CBC tv on New Years Eve. This is a wonderful clip but unfortunately it only shows a portion of the quotes recited, all the boys had quotes to say but I guess they ended up on the cutting room floor, my son however did NOT!!! He is the only one named in the whole clip. *l*

Finally, the kids went back to school this week * whoo-hoo*
I love my kids, I love spending time with my kids, just not that much! *lol*
No seriously, they were complaining of being bored the weekend after Christmas & with all the stuff they got, how could they possibly be bored?
So, that made for a very long week.
They went back on Monday, today however (Thursday) is a snow day, so they are home.
haha, lucky, lucky me. :)

I hope everyone had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
It has been very busy here the last week or so.
Santa found the boys & they couldn't be happier with all the gifts they got. I think we need to do some more purging here of old toys to make room for the new ones :)
I got a new camera for Christmas, I wasn't expecting it so it made it a fabulous surprise! I have had ALOT of time playing with it. I haven't had time to scrap ( it's been over 2 weeks since I did any) but I dont imagine anyone really had much time for that this holiday season.
I did however manage to get the photo's off the camera.....I took over 500 in 3 days! *l*
Can you say obessed!
We spent alot of time with friends & family this week...I also got to spend almost 5 hours at the airport Saturday waiting to find out if Jarret's flight was going to take off or not. Alot of confusion about exactly what was the hold up, anyway, he finally got off @ 7:20...3 & 3/4 hours later then scheduled.

This is Matthew. He is the cutest little boy. ( after my own of course) *l*
Robin dropped him off the other day & we had a little impromptu photo shoot.
I loved them so much that I couldn't just let them sit untouched.
Matthew is truly like one of my own. :) I love this little boy!

Hunter & his class performing Imagine by John Lennon. I didn't get all of it BUT you can catch it on CBC in January!!! They came & filmed the boys today, it took about an hour. I will let you know when it airs & hopefully I will be able to get it so I can post it for all to see.

I also got to work the catwalk 2 weeks ago over at Sistv for my LO 2cute2spook. Unfortunately, I never got the notice till after it was posted & never got to see it, "workin' it". Heard it threw the grape-vine sorta speak! *l*

Happy November.
It is only 7 weeks till Christmas. Can you believe it? I know either can I!! I told myself last year I would do a little shopping every week so that when it rolled around again, I wouldn't feel over whelmed. Guess what. I never did! *lol* Now I know, I have 7 weeks to shop BUT I dont feel like doing it, plus I have to buy, wrap & ship stuff back home. So I better get myself motivated. Now that Halloween & Thanksgiving ( for us Canadian's) is over I can focus on Christmas. Thank goodness I have my hobby to help get me in the mood. :) The awesome stuff that the ladies put out this week is amazing!!

This has been a busy week with CT`s this week. Michelle, the lucky lady is over at the block party with Christina Renee, this is week 3, so that part-eh is almost over with. Michelle has put out some fab products there, you really should check them out. I do know they will be available in her store but I am not sure when. Anyways, I have been busy with LO`s this week and I hate to say I still have more I need to do. *l* Maybe I should do that instead of writting here, eh! I had alot of fun this week working with my ct`s products.
I was surprised at how well received this LO was at DST.I love how this LO turned out & when you get alot of views, it makes you feel like you did your job for your designer. That is why they have you after all, to sell their designs!!

On a personal & more serious note. My oldest son Michael was in a car accident this weekend. He has totaled his car. He was not hurt physically but emotionally he is bruised. I think when you are 20, you still feel invincible, like nothing bad will ever happen. Well, reality just jumped up & bite him in the you know what!! I have been telling him for a while that he is not untouchable, he wonders why I worry about him, because he is 20 after all. I tell him all the more reason to worry because you are no longer under my roof, I don't know where you are every minute of the day. Well, last night I got that phone call that no parent wants to get. I am so thankful because it could have been my worst nightmare coming true.

My friend Blackdog is an incredible scrapper. She truely is an artist with her pages & it always amazes me the things she produces. I did a challenge she had on her blog recently & got the most amazing papers for my effort. This is a LO I did with her papers. When they go for sale, I will let you know where you can pick them up.

Being a reject of the CT of Jacque Larsen isn't bad. I get to be a guest CT for her for the next 2 months. I love October, my birthday, thanksgiving, halloween are all this month. November is another awesome month, that leads right into my FAVOURITE month of all time, December. The Christmas music, the snow, the shopping, the eating, I love everything there is about December, but I am getting ahead of myself. *l*
So, being a guest CT means I get to play with all the goodies Jacque will produce in the next 2 months. So far, it has been awesome, and we are only a week into October!!! Jacque is really nice, & is one of my fav designers. Her designs add such whimsy & that something extra special to your LO's. If you have never seen her designs before ( ha-um Michelle) you need to go see what she has to offer, especially if this time of year is your favourite!

My oldest son has come for a short visit. He drove from Ontario to come see me in New Brunswick.Not a short drive, its 18 hours of just driving time, no gas or food breaks so it really is a long trip. I am enjoying having him here, even if it is only a few days since I dont know when I will get to see him again. Now that he is working full time, it may be next summer before we are able to get together again. It's funny because when your kids are young you want them to grow up, become indepentant & live life. Well, now that I no longer have him under my roof or only a few hours away, I can tell you how I wish that he was still a little boy who needed his "mommy"
